Bonitas Medical Fund, the second largest open scheme in South Africa, recently held an awards ceremony during its annual Broker Conference where the brokers who showed high levels of loyalty and proactivity towards the Bonitas brand were acknowledged in front of an audience of their peers.

“The Bonitas Broker Awards recognise our top performing brokers in several areas, including Top Performing Newcomer, the New Business Award and the Chairman’s Award,” says Katy Caldis, business development director at Bonitas.

“While we, at Bonitas, hold each and every one of our brokers in the highest esteem, we feel we need to single out our top performers and highlight their hard work and dedication to our brand. We want to pay special homage to Alexander Forbes, Imvelo Consulting and Moso Consulting for going above and beyond the call of duty this year,” she adds.

The Newcomers Award recognised brokers that received Bonitas contracts during the period June 2008 – May 2009, for outstanding performance. Those being 1st place Ord & Times, 2nd place Van Zyl Associates and 3rd place SD AMLA.

The New Business Award recognises the total new business brought in by the brokerages in the period under review (June 2008 – May 2009).

1st place – Alexander Forbes scooped first place being acknowledged for their high levels of professionalism and their solid demonstration of commitment to the Bonitas brand. The fact that such a high proportion of Alexander Forbes staff members have personally selected to join Bonitas further demonstrates their faith in Bonitas’ products and services.

2nd place – Imvelo Consulting

3rd place – Moso Consulting

Finally, The Chairman’s Award is possibly the most sought after award of the year as it recognises the top overall performer of the year. The award was taken by Imvelo Consulting this year a completely female owned and operated consultancy.
